Bonjour, hej, hello!
I’m Mia Sahlberg, a Swedish jewelry designer and multiartist based in Montpellier in the south of France.
I stumbled into silversmithing almost by accident while working as a stylist in Paris over ten years ago. For a photoshoot, I wanted to cover a model’s fingers with rings, but after searching all over the city I still couldn’t find what I had in mind. So I decided to make them myself.
What started as curiosity quickly became a passion. After teaching myself through YouTube tutorials, I made my first silver rings in the living room of our tiny Paris apartment and founded my jewelry brand in 2014.
Today, every piece is handcrafted in my atelier in Montpellier using 100% recycled silver. I also reuse all leftover silver in my process, letting every fragment find its way back into new forms. My work is rooted in organic forms and textured surfaces, embracing a perfectly imperfect aesthetic where each piece carries its own individuality.
My jewelry has been worn by artists such as Katy Perry and featured in magazines including Vogue, L’Officiel, Numéro, Elle, Icon, Lula and Harper’s Bazaar.
